Cambridge diet...Day one

ok, so i went to my cambridge councillor for my first meeting to get the packs ect, as id only done this 2 months ago i was still on the computer so it only took 15 minutes,
i choose 7 each of strawberry, banana and forest fruits as there the only ones i really like,
i told her i didnt want to get measured, it would depress me lol, so i got weighed...and was shocked!!!!
i weigh 17 stone 11lbs, so in 2 months i have gained 2 stone 8lb.....OMG!! i cant believe it,
so im determined to keep going with this.
My CDC ( cambridge diet councilor) told me that if im 100% for the 10 weeks before my hols i could lose 4 stone!!! whoop whoop! i really hope so!
So its half past 4pm, ive had 2 shakes and loads of water, im not hungry but have just made the kids salad, chicken and pittas OMG the cucumber smelt gorgeous!
now why do i only ever crave fruit and vegs when im not allowed them lol
Going to have my other shake at around 7pm then have a cup of swiss vegetable boullion, yummy, i use to look forward to the boullion and had it whilst my partner had his meal, so i didnt feel left out!

Went to asda today to get the kids a few bits in, shopping is the worst time when your on cambridge, you just want everything you see but cant have it! but cambridge saves me LOADS of money!! as i cant buy crisps, chocolates, snacks and treats ect so thats a bonus!
For my last meal last night i had the most goregous kebab ever!! i cant stop thinking about it lol, it was chunks of chicken, doner meat, lamb and beef wrapped up in a giant flat bread with sauce and salad, OMG im drooling lol, buit i want weight loss more that the kebab so ill keep telling myself that the kebab can be my reward when the 10 weeks are up,

10 weeks, just 10 weeks, thats all....i can do it!...can`t i?

Its all about me 30th March 2009

OK, so here i am, the day before i restart Cambridge 2 months after i came of Cambridge for the first time, and unfortunately 2 stone heavier, yep i lost 2 stone in 6 weeks from last December 08 on Cambridge, its now end of march and i have gained the 2 stone back on and a little more,
I'm now at over 17.5 stone ( not sure exactly what i weigh until tomorrow when i have my official weigh in!)

My mum had to go into hospital for a tricky stent operation on her carotid artery which they wouldn't do before as they said it would bring on a stroke during the stenting, but now it was a case of if you don't have it done you WILL have a major stroke, so it was a very stressful time which meant Stress = gorging on food. (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!) but no, seriously I'm a comfort eater and boy i must of needed a lot of comforting as i sure did eat a lot!

Anyway, I'm Nikki, I'm 29 years old ( god i hate saying that! i still feel like I'm 15 inside and don't think Ive changed much mentally since then!!!!) of course I'm more responsible, well when you get pregnant at 15 you kind of have to grow up a lot, and even more so when you find out at aged 16 that your 5 month old daughter has the life threatening inherited disease Cystic Fibrosis.

I wasn't a fat child, in fact i was slim and active, this is me aged 7

it was only when i started secondary school that it kind of got out of hand, i remember been 12 years old and i got called up to see the nurse, i had no idea why! imagine my horror when she weighed me and told me i was extremely overweight for my age, i weighed 12 stone...which i didn't think was that bad at the time! She sent me back to the classroom with a hand full of healthy eating leaflets which i hid inside my sleeve, oh god the embarrassment!!!

so as the years went by i got bigger and bigger, this is me aged 13!

as i mentioned earlier i had a baby at aged 16, my little girl Chloe was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when she was just 5 months old, i put on 3 stone during her pregnancy and after she was born i lost a bit with the help of duromine tablets which are banned now, i cried my eyes out when my GP refused to give me anymore as they sure did put you of food!

He gave me reductil to try, they wasn't any good for me, so i also went on xenical, which lets just say, cooking oil???????? Hmmmmmm if you have been on xenical you know what i mean!!!

Well by the time i had my second baby at the age of 19 i weighed 20 stone

here's some pics of me getting bigger as the years go by.

So here i was aged 22 and 21 stone, i decided enough was enough...id read a story in a magazine about a woman who had loads of weigh with a thing called a lap band, i went to my doctors straight away who referred me to the lovely Mr sedman at Hull royal infirmary, 18 months and lots of tests later i had the lap band operation,

this is how big i was a couple of weeks before the op, a size 30-32, not a pretty sight!

i thought it was the start of the new me, i though this is it, I'm going to be slim finally, i got pregnant again 6 months after my lap band op, and me and pregnancy don't get on too well, so on cam another 3 stone! so here i am 6 years later and still massively obese,

yes i did lose weight at first but it was hard, Don't get me wrong, the lap band did help, but its not a magic cure i thought it was,i had to go on slimming world, it took me 4 slow years to lose 7 stone, this is me 2 years ago, feeling and even though i do say so myself, looking bloody gorgeous!!!!

So that was me, just before i got pregnant with my 4th daughter, i felt amazing, had loads of confidence, and was just really happy, i was still a size 16-18 but it suited me, so much better than a size 32!!! When i was 10 weeks pregnant my lap band suddenly got extremely tight and i couldn't keep even liquids down, so i had some fluid removed, which for the first time in 4-5 years i was able to eat normally, i was like a kid in a sweet shop, testing my body to see how much food i could eat, it felt great at the time, i forgot how much pain the lap band put me through eat time i ate, so what happened? yes i gained 4 and half stone during my pregnancy,

my baby girl is now 7 months old, i feel stupid for not sticking to Cambridge, i could have lost 4 stone by now, but I'm more than what i was when i first started in 4 months ago!! ( my lap band isn't working, i think it may have a leak and i cant get seen until June!)

I'm ready to start again, the first time it was so easy!!! i lost 11lb in my first week, wow i hope i can do that again,

Me and my partner are taking my mum and our 4 daughters to Cyprus in a 5 star hotel just steps away from the Mediterranean sea in less than 10 weeks, i cant go like this, i would be so miserable, i want to enjoy it and make it a holiday to remember, so this is it,

my 10 week Cambridge challenge, starts tomorrow, wish me luck!!!!!

thanks for reading, i hope i havent got too many spelling mistakes!!
